Soft-bodied 2D animation drives blobs, slimes, jellies, and gel creatures. A grid of soft-spring control points produces squash-and-stretch that real bones can't — the slime jiggles after landing, the jelly stretches when grabbed, the blob splits when it should.
We're in production on this rig family. While it's being retargeted and clip-tested, the live Humanoid 2D library already covers most of the soft-bodied use cases below — many studios ship their first prototype with humanoid stand-ins while bespoke rigs catch up.
