  • What does each action cost?

    Every generation button shows the exact cost before you click. Failed generations are refunded automatically — no hidden charges.

  • What are credits and why do they exist?

    Every AI button in the editor (character split, variant, layer regenerate) costs a small amount of credits. Credits are the fairest way to share the cost of running heavy generation features — you only pay for what you actually use, and we don't have to bake worst-case usage into a flat price for everyone.

  • Do credits roll over month to month?

    Subscription credits don't roll over — they reset on your renewal date. Top-up credits never expire and always stack on top of your subscription bucket, so anything you bought one-shot is yours to keep.

  • What if a generation fails?

    Refunded automatically the moment we know it failed — back into your top-up bucket so it never expires. You only pay for generations that actually land.

  • What happens when I run out mid-project?

    The button you clicked opens a top-up modal showing exactly how many credits you need vs. have, with packs from $5 to $199. After purchase you land back in the editor with your work intact.

  • Why is Lifetime limited to the first 1,000?

    It's a fixed-cap founders deal — once the seats are gone, the SKU disappears.

  • What does Lifetime get on the credit system?

    A one-shot bonus of 5,000 credits dropped into your top-up bucket on signup (those never expire), the same 30-credit free-tier monthly drip as Free, and a permanent 25% discount on every top-up pack you ever buy. The lifetime perk is the product itself plus the discounted rate forever — not an unlimited monthly AI bucket, which is the move that takes lifetime SaaS deals bankrupt.

  • What's actually included in Lifetime?

    Every Pro feature, forever. Compute-heavy future features (think: LLM-driven animation, batch retargeting at scale) may require an active Pro/Team plan because the COGS scale per use, but everything in Pro today and the natural roadmap improvements are yours.

  • Can I switch monthly ↔ yearly?

    Yes. From the customer portal — Polar prorates the difference automatically. Monthly to yearly saves you $24/year (≈ 2 months free).

  • What about taxes / VAT?

    Polar is the merchant of record, so VAT, GST, and US sales tax are calculated and remitted for you — what you pay is what's on the receipt.

  • What happens when I cancel?

    Your projects stay accessible at the Free-plan limits. We never delete your data.

  • Refunds?

  • Student / nonprofit discounts?
