01 · Auto Layering
Charios auto-detects every alpha island — head, torso, limbs, accessories — and exports each one as a transparent layer ready to rig.

02 · Easy Rigging
Drag a layer near a joint, snap it to the bone, see the deformation update in real time. Every edit ripples through the preview with no re-bake.

03 · Animation Library
Curated humanoid mocap ships in the box, plus drag-drop for any .bvh from CMU, Truebones or Rokoko. Bone lengths normalise automatically.

04 · Play test
Flip the test-run modal, pick Idle / Walk / Run / Jump / Attack from the chip selector, then drive the character with arrow keys. WASD, shift to run, space to jump.

05 · Export
Ship a GIF for your devlog, a Unity prefab with every layer wired up, or a clean export to Godot and Unreal. Headless WebSocket API for CI.

Frequently asked
No. Open the editor in your browser, drop a PNG, you're rigging within seconds. Charios is a Next.js app on the public web — there is nothing to download, compile or configure.
Yes. Drag any humanoid .bvh from CMU, Truebones or Rokoko, or any humanoid .fbx, onto the page. The retargeter normalises bone lengths automatically and extrapolates hand and foot bones when the source rig doesn't expose them.
Free forever for up to three active projects with every editor feature unlocked. Pro at $12/month removes the project cap, raises upload limits and adds PNG-sequence and JSON export.
Unity prefab and a JSON skeleton today. GIF and PNG sequence for devlogs and itch.io. Godot import is on the roadmap; until it ships you can use the JSON skeleton with the open-source loader on GitHub.
The marketing site and dashboards are fully responsive. The editor itself is desktop-first because rigging needs precise pointer input and a roomy canvas — but viewing your projects, sharing previews and managing your account works on any device.
Free for three projects. No install, no build step, no card required.
