Hexapod 2D animation covers six-legged creatures — insects, spiders (eight-leg variant), crab-like enemies, and walker mechs. The tripod gait (three legs grounded at all times) is baked into the rig so the character never reads as floating, no matter the prop count.
We're in production on this rig family. While it's being retargeted and clip-tested, the live Humanoid 2D library already covers most of the hexapod use cases below — many studios ship their first prototype with humanoid stand-ins while bespoke rigs catch up.
